Reminders that wait until you are in the right place

A shopping list is useless at home and useful in the shop. Time-based reminders cannot know the difference; a place-based one can.

Two kinds of place

Somewhere you saved. Home, the office, a parent's flat, the gym. You set the radius; arriving or leaving both work as triggers.

Any place of a kind. A supermarket, a petrol station, a cash machine, a cafe, a bank, a car park. You do not name a specific one — walking near any of them is enough.

How to set it up

  1. The Android app. A place reminder is matched by the phone, so that is where it fires. You can create one anywhere — in the app, in the Telegram bot or on the website.
  2. Permissions. When the app asks for your location and for running in the background, allow them. If reminders stay silent, Settings → Notifications & sound → “Why reminders do not arrive” shows what is missing.
  3. The place. While you are there, say “save this place as home” in the chat — or open the Places tab and mark the spot on the map. The radius is set there too.
  4. The reminder. “When I get home, call Mum”, “when I leave work, buy bread”. For any supermarket or petrol station nearby there is nothing to save: “when I am near a supermarket, buy milk”.

Name a place you have not saved yet and the chat says so; the reminder waits until you save it.

Saying it in plain words

There is no form to fill in. You write what you would say to a person — remind me to take out cash when I am near an ATM, or when I leave the office, remind me to call the landlord — and the AI turns it into the trigger. It works in twelve languages.

Leaving a place counts too

Half of what gets forgotten is forgotten on the way out: the charger left plugged in, the thing you meant to post on the way home. Both directions are triggers, not just arrivals.

Your phone works out when you have arrived

Saved places are matched on the phone, and your position is not sent for that. A “near any supermarket” reminder is the exception, and it says so. See what is sent and what is not.

FAQ

How close do I have to be?
You choose the radius per place. A tight one around a specific shop, a wide one around a neighbourhood.
Does it work with the Telegram bot alone?
Time, weather and schedule reminders do. Saved-place triggers need the Android app, because they are matched on the phone — a bot has no way to tell where you are.
Try it in Telegram — no app needed to start
