Version 1.2 · Updated 3 October 2026
This is the agreement between you and whoever provides Brain Buffer: what the service does, what it does not do, and what you can expect from it. What happens to your data is on a separate page, Privacy and security.
Brain Buffer is a reminder and notes service. You describe in your own words what to remind you of and when, and a language model turns that into a reminder: by time, by a saved place, by the weather, by something happening on your phone.
The Android app, the website and the Telegram bot all work with one account.
Chat replies are written by a language model, not a person. It can be wrong, so check what was actually created and correct or delete anything that isn't right.
Course plans and lessons are written by a language model too. They can contain mistakes or out-of-date information; we check links only for whether they open.
Brain Buffer is an assistant, not a supervisor. It reminds you; it does not check that you did the thing, and it does not answer for it in your place.
Some features are not available in every country. Reminders that fire at a place are currently switched off for people in the United States, where a patent covers them. Every other kind of reminder — time, Wi-Fi, NFC, devices, weather — works as before. We work out the country from your phone's time zone and the places you saved; if we got it wrong, say in the chat where you are and it is corrected.
We work to make reminders arrive on time, but we can't guarantee it. They travel through your phone, browser, Telegram and notification delivery services, so they can be late or not arrive at all:
For anything your health, safety, money or deadlines depend on, keep a second way: an alarm, a person nearby, a written schedule.
Brain Buffer is not intended to diagnose, treat, alleviate or prevent any condition, and it gives no medical advice — it is not a medical device.
The service does not read prescriptions, doctor's orders or other medical documents from photos: if a photo is one, you are told it is not supported.
Reminders you set for yourself or others are your own text. If one differs from your doctor's prescription or the medicine leaflet, the prescription and the leaflet are right. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Brain Buffer is for people aged 13 and over. If you are younger than 16, you may use it with the permission of a parent or guardian.
We don't ask for your age and we don't verify it — we have no way to confirm it. So this is a rule, not a check: the service is not aimed at children, we don't make it attractive to them, and we don't collect data to work out how old you are.
Once you link the app, the website and the bot, they are one account. You are responsible for what happens in your account and for the keys that open it — sign-in links, the app's token, your password.
There is no separate child account in Brain Buffer. An adult who adds a child to a family must have the consent of the child's parents or guardians, and must explain to the child which reminders will arrive.
In a family, members set reminders for each other. There are no "parent" or "child" roles in Brain Buffer, and any member can set a reminder for any other member.
Only people who accepted an invitation join a family. You can leave at any time, and nobody's confirmation is needed for that.
Members are equal to one another, removal included:
A family shares reminders, not location.
Whoever invites people — into a family or into a wider group — is responsible for each of them having agreed to receive such reminders. Brain Buffer is not for messaging people who did not ask for it. Free-plan limits apply here too.
If these rules are broken we may limit or close an account, and we'll say why. You can still export and delete your data afterwards.
The free plan has two limits. The first is how many reminders can be active at once and how many of them are tied to a place; it counts active reminders, and a timetable from a photo takes one slot, a course takes one too.
The second is how many changes you make in a calendar month. A change is something you ask for in words that alters your data: creating a reminder, correcting or deleting one through chat, reading a timetable from a photograph, generating a course. Questions like "what do I have tomorrow?", pausing, "snooze for 10 minutes" and changing a setting are not changes. When the limit is reached every reminder you already have keeps working and keeps firing — new ones through chat come back on the 1st of the next month.
Why changes rather than reminders: each change is a call to a language model that we pay for, while the number of reminders costs us nothing (one photograph of a timetable can produce thirty reminders from a single call).
Current limits and prices are shown in the app, on the website and in the bot. They may change: we can raise a limit at any time and without notice, and we give notice before lowering one for people who already rely on it (section 9).
At the moment, each person who signs up through your invitation gives you one more slot for a place-based reminder.
Free-plan limits, prices and the set of features may change, including for new users. We don't promise that a feature which is free today stays free: if it becomes paid, we'll say so in advance (section 9).
A period you paid for keeps the terms you paid under until it ends.
Premium is one per account and works on every surface. Paying again extends the date.
The surface you open payment from decides which methods are offered.
We never receive or store card details: you enter them on the payment service's own page.
These Terms do not take away consumer rights the law gives you. You can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of payment, without giving a reason. Premium bought with Telegram Stars: tap "Withdraw from contract" under the payment message or in /upgrade, or send the bot /withdraw, confirm — and we return all the Stars and cancel the Premium that payment bought; the bot sends a confirmation straight away. Nothing is kept back: Telegram refunds a Stars payment only in full. Purchases made in Google Play or the App Store are refunded by that store under its own rules. For anything about payment, refunds included, write to us: privacy@telegramaireminder.com.
We may change these Terms — because the law changes, because Google Play or Telegram require it, for security, because a third-party service costs more, or because Brain Buffer develops. Prices, free-plan limits and the set of features may change among them.
Every version of these Terms has a number and a date. A record of which version you accepted, when and where is (in development).
We ask for separate consent only where the law requires it: for example, if data we already hold starts being used in a new way that needs consent. The new use doesn't start until you agree, and saying no doesn't take the service away.
How these Terms are accepted. Right now they apply to everyone using Brain Buffer. An "I accept" button with a version record is (in development): once it exists, we'll ask you to accept the Terms once. The "Privacy and security" page is shown alongside — you don't accept it; it explains what happens to your data.
If you don't agree with a change, you can export your data and stop using the service.
You can stop using Brain Buffer at any time.
We may limit or close an account if the rules in section 6 are broken or the law requires it.
If we ever shut the service down, we'll announce it in advance and leave time to export your data. The unused part of a period you have already paid for is refunded pro rata — by whole months remaining after the day we stop. The month the service was still running in is not refunded.
We are liable for harm caused by our fault, within the limits set by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for harm to life or health, for intentional breach, or for consumer rights that cannot be waived by law.
Otherwise, as far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by circumstances outside our control (section 2), or for indirect losses.
What we collect, why, who else receives it and how long we keep it is described separately: Privacy and security. These Terms do not repeat it.
The Ukrainian version of these Terms is the original. The English one is provided for convenience; if the two differ, the Ukrainian text applies.
These Terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. If you are a consumer living in another country, that choice does not deprive you of the protection given by the mandatory rules of your own country's law.
